Joomla 5 will be shipped with icons from Font Awesome version 6. So our extensions are upgrading their icons already to the latest and greatest Font Awesome version. Additionally does DPCalendar support the Joomla 4 inline help toggle button and DPMedia comes with a new adapter option to sync local media.
Continuing our proven release strategy, as it is the fourth Thursday in month, we deliver some new versions for DPCalendar, DPMedia, DPAttachments and DPCases. The following new feature releases are published today for you:

Font Awesome 6
Font Awesome is a very popular icon library which is integrated on many websites. Version 5 is used in Joomla 4 itself and in our extensions like DPCalendar, DPCases or DPAttachments. At the beginning of 2022, Font Awesome 6 was released with tons of new icons. Joomla 5 will be shipped with Font Awesome 6 (guess who made the pr), so it is time that Digital Peak does also ship their extensions with their most feature rich version.
As this is a new major version it comes with breaking changes, the biggest one is that some icons got a new name. As we are using the icons in our extensions as inline SVG's you wont recognize the change at all. Only if the admin did some icon overrides, then a few names need to be adapted. DPMedia: Sync task adapters option
The DPMedia local files sync task does update locally cached files with the changes from their remote storage, eg. dropbox or google drive. A new option offers the possibility to select individual adapters. Like that can multiple sync jobs be performed at different times to lower the resource usage of your web server.

DPCalendar: Inline help toggle
Joomla has a nice feature to toggle the inline help when opening a form. DPCalendar uses that feature now. When editing an event, location, coupon, etc. then the publisher can click on the inline help toolbar button and the field descriptions are shown.

Bugfixes
We are eager to improve our extensions on a regular basis. That's why every major/feature release does contain also bug fixes and small enhancements as well to improve the stability and performance.

Upgrade considerations
Our extensions got an improved cleanup routine on update. Like that it is ensured that no old unused files are left on the filesystem. This routine is automatically executed during upgrade, so there is one step less for the admin to check for orphaned files after the update.
Updating to the new versions is straight forward as there are no logic changes in layouts. The only changes which might affect your updates is when you have overwritten some icons in the template which is very unlikely.
