Piwigo is a very famous image gallery in the PHP eco system. It was time to connect it with the Joomla media manager.
Continuing our proven release strategy, as it is the fourth Thursday in month, we deliver a new version for DPCalendar and DPMedia. The following new feature and releases are published today for you:
The next chapters are highlighting some of the most important changes in this release window.
DPMedia Piwigo
One of our most popular feature request was a Piwigo plugin for the Joomla media manager. Like that it is easy possible to manage the images in a fully featured image gallery and display them with in articles or DPCalendar events. All you have to do is to define the url and the credentials of an admin user in the plugin and your images will show up in the media manager.
More information can be found in the official documentation.
Small DPCalendar enhancements
DPCalendar got a couple of small enhancements and bug fixes. We are currently busy testing the new beta build for version 9.0.0 with the new Joomla 4/5 architecture. It is very likely that it gets published next month.
- Hypens are now supported in calendar view
- Author filter in YOOtheme Pro
- Status variable name for notification mails
- Tighter DPUser integration (we know DPuser is not available for the public now, but will be on some point)
Bugfixes
We are eager to improve our extensions on a regular basis. That's why every major/feature release does contain also bug fixes and small enhancements as well to improve the stability and performance.
A full changelog is added in the respective download release description on our download site.
