The JEvents DPCalendar plugins offers the possibility to integrate JEvents events into DPCalendar or to migrate from JEvents to DPCalendar. The Integration/Import external calendars article does describe in more detail, what the difference is between these two tasks.
To migrate from JEvents, enable the plugin and import the events through the back end importer task as described in full detail in the Import external events article.
Want to keep the using JEvents but with the responsive and blazing fast views from DPCalendar, enable the plugin and select a JEvents calendar in the DPCalendar menu item.
