#688 Client-ID and Client-Secret

Since the analytics API version 3 google requires for every API access a client ID and secret. This page describes how to obtain them and place add them into GAnalytics.

Enable the API

Navigate to and log in with your google account. Create a project if you don't have one and enable the GAnalytics API.

Create the Client

Click on Create credentials and then on OAutho client ID. Choose Web application as application type and fill a name like GAnalytics API Access.

Define the redirect urls

After you have set the name, define the redirect urls as follows:

For example the url for the demo site looks like

Click the Create button.

Put the client ID and secret into the GAnalytics options.

You are ready now to import your Google Analytics profiles.
