The minimum requirement for this version is Joomla 3.7!

Prerequisites

DPCalendar needs the following environment to run successfully:

  • Joomla 3.7 and above
  • MySQL >= 5
  • PHP >= 5.5.9

Basically DPCalendar needs the requirements of a Joomla installation.

Installation

To install DPCalendar, you have to download the package and upload it trough the Joomla installer. You can also install DPCalendar trough the built in Joomla web installer. After a successful installation configure the component, modules and the plugins and publish them. For more information how to get started with DPCalendar read our short getting started guide.

Upgrade

To upgrade DPCalendar from an earlier version, just install the package or individual extensions with the Joomla installer, DPCalendar will handle the upgrade procedure by itself.

This is a new version of the DPCalendar Joomla calendar extension. Please read the release notes for a complete list of changes in this release.

This version contains a complete new templating layer. This means that you have to redo all the DPCalendar template overrides.The existing ones will NOT work anymore. Also some parameters do have changed, please recheck your DPCalendar options after an upgrade.

We also changed the minimum requirement for this version to Joomla 3.7 and PHP 5.5!

This is the ONLY Joomla 2.5 compatible version of the DPCalendar Joomla calendar extension. We dropped support for Joomla 2.5 end of June 2015 as published on our announcement beginning of 2015. This means we will NOT provide any kind of support on our case management tool for this version. This version is published for all the people which can't upgrade for any reasons.

The documentation chapter will not cover anymore the version 4 branch, this means that the free documentation will soon not be accurate for this version of DPCalendare.
