Introduction

A case is the main entity in DPCases. It contains all the information regarding an issue. Cases can be managed in the front end or back end and are organized in categories.

Cases can be managed in the backend. Various filters allow to search for a specific case.

In the backend of the DPCases, you can create or edit cases just like you do in Joomla articles.

Case attributes

All cases have the following attributes that can be modified:

  • Title
    A short description of the case.
  • Alias
    Must be unique within the category and is needed to create SEF urls. As default, the alias is created in a proper url format from the title.
  • Category
    The category the case belongs to.
  • Description
    The description of the case.
  • State
    The state of the case. The list can be configured in the back end under states.
  • Type
    The type of the case. The list can be configured in the back end under types.
  • Responsible
    The responsible user of the case. User will be displayed when it belongs to the selected staff group of the component.
