The gallery modules does show images from unlimited media adapter folders. The images don't have to be in the local filesystem, any adapter plugin is supported.
The module comes with three different layouts. These layouts can be selected in the "Advanced" tab of the module. For each layout it is also possible to define the rendering settings, like every Joomla module offers. Additionally is a custom CSS option available which allows to customize the rendering without the need to add custom styles to the template.
The default layout does show the images in a grid, each cell with the same height, where images are vertical aligned. It supports infinite scrolling, means when the visitor reaches the bottom of the module, then it fetches the next batch of images.
The masonry layout does show the images in a column based grid horizontally aligned. It supports infinite scrolling, means when the visitor reaches the bottom of the module, then it fetches the next batch of images.
