Eventbrite is one of the leading event organizer platforms covering in person and online events. So it is logical that the platform must be integrated into Joomla through a DPCalendar plugin. This and more new features are shipped today.

Following our established release strategy, we are excited to announce a new feature version of DPCalendar and DPMedia and a bugfix one for DPCases, as it is the fourth Thursday of the month. Today, we are releasing the following updates:

The next chapters are highlighting some of the most important changes in this release window.

DPCalendar: Eventbrite integration

The new eventbrite plugin integrates seamless your eventbrite events into Joomla through a shiny new DPCalendar plugin. All you have to do is to install the plugin from the download site, create the eventbrite API keys and import your eventbrite organizations from within the DPCalendar eventbrite plugin in the Joomla plugin manager. Select the newly created organizations in a DPCalendar menu item and see the eventbrite events flowing into Joomla.

Eventbrite creates automatically an organization for you if you don't have one. They are needed for the API requests. If you belong to multiple organizations, then all of them are imported, but they can be selected individually in the menu item. More information can be found in the plugin documentation.

DPCalendar: Personal Microsoft 365 account support

Since its early ages does DPCalendar connect Exchange calendars with Joomla and 3 years ago we also integrated Microsoft 365 calendars through the Microsoft graph API. Till now are business accounts with multiple tenants supported for Microsoft 365 but not personal accounts, where delegated permissions are required. The uplifted DPCalendar Microsoft plugin does now support personal accounts with highly secure OAuth integration.

During the import process of your calendars you are delegated to login.microsoftonline.com to grant permissions for your web site to access your events from your personal Microsoft 365 account. After the import process is finished, you can then select the calendars in the DPCalendar menu items or modules where automatic synchronization and short time caching is automatically enabled. More information can be found in the Microsoft plugin documentation.

DPMedia: Remote folder sync task

DPMedia integrates various cloud services like Google drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Dropbox, WebDAV, (S)FTP or other Joomla sites. Picture providers like Unsplash or Pixabay are supported as well. The new media sync task for the Joomla scheduler allows you to sync a remote folder into a subfolder of /images of your Joomla web site on a regular basis. This means, as soon as the scheduler has triggered the task, remote media files are copied to the local images folder. Any media filesystem plugin is supported, so it es also possible to sync two local folders.

It is event possible to let the task remotely deleted files to remove them locally, but it is disabled per default. More information can be found in the DPMedia task plugin documentation.

We are eager to improve our extensions on a regular basis. That's why every major/feature release does contain also bug fixes and small enhancements as well to improve the stability and performance.

A full changelog is added in the respective download release description on our download site.
