Introduction

The "Emoji" plugin adds a possibility to drag and drop emojis into an image while editing it in the Joomla media manager. The emoji can be resized and positioned within the image after the drop is performed.

The admin can choose between the following emoji providers:

  • Browser
  • Twitter
  • OpenMoji
  • Google Noto

The emojis in the sidebar can be dragged into the image. Keep in mind that the emojis in the sidebar are shown from the browsers font and not from the actual provider. The reason is simple, because it would create a massive network traffic when fetching all emojis per page load. So it can happen that on the image the emoji looks different than in the overview.

Please read the Concept of image editing plugins article to get more information how to get started with the plugin.
