In the past few months, we’ve shipped powerful new features that elevate your site and open the door to new use cases. The biggest ones are electronic invoices (Xrechnung, ZUGFeRD), compatibility with YOOtheme 5 and a new articles plugin which integrates articles in DPCalendar.
Following our established release strategy, we are excited to announce a new feature version of DPCalendar, as it is the fourth Thursday of the month. Today, we are releasing the following updates:

E-invoices plugin
XRechnung and ZUGFeRD are two standardized electronic invoice formats used in Germany to enable fully digital, structured invoice exchange. They will become mandatory in 2028, so prepare yourself now.
XRechnung
XRechnung is the official e-invoicing standard for invoices sent to German public authorities. It is a purely machine-readable XML format designed for automated processing by government systems. Because it contains only structured data (no visual PDF), it is ideal for high-volume, automated workflows and is legally required for many public-sector billing scenarios.
ZUGFeRD
ZUGFeRD is a hybrid e-invoicing format commonly used in B2B contexts. It combines a normal, human-readable PDF invoice with embedded structured XML data. This means the same document can be read by people and automatically processed by accounting systems, making it a practical bridge between traditional invoicing and fully digital workflows.
We implemented E-Invoices as a plugin, when enabled, then it adds the Xrechnung as XML to the file and ZUGFeRD, inline to the invoice and receipt booking PDF. More information can be found in the E-Invoice payment plugin documentation.
Full YOOtheme 5 compatibility
YOOtheme 5 is an amazing new release which brings your page building to a new level. Therefor we made our integration plugin fully compatible with YOOtheme 5. Together with Joomla 6, you will get an amazing content management experience. More information can be found in the YOOgtheme integration plugin documentation.
Articles plugin
The articles integration plugin can show articles from categories within DPCalendar. The event data like start date or location is fetched from custom fields of the article. Like that you can display your articles nicely within DPCalendar in Joomla as month calendar or timeline view. More information can be found in the Article calendar plugin documentation.

The following list highlights some more noteworthy features in DPCalendar 10.7.0:
- Event associations between languages
- Option to add a PDF File to invoice mail in manual plugin
- Possibility to disable calendar popup on per menu item basis
- Create an event for an Office/Microsoft 365 calendar
- Additional booking status "Partially Paid"
- Timeline RTL improvements
- Various Bexio improvements like defining a bank for the invoice
Bugfixes
We are eager to improve our extensions on a regular basis. That's why every major/feature release does contain also bug fixes and small enhancements as well to improve the stability and performance.
